THANKSGIVING: REMEMBERING HIS MIRACLES OF LONG AGO

I think that 365 days is long enough for some of us to forget some of what happened in our lives; and that's why we do not give God all the thanksgiving He deserves. And there are some of us who like to postpone testimonies, we wait till November or December 31 to testify, but by then we must have forgotten a lot of things that the Lord did for us. That’s not good. Understand that there's nothing too small to thank God for. Ephesians 5:20 says "Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;" Now, if we must thank God for all things, then you'll agree with me that there's so much to remember and give thanks for in our lives. Won't it be better for us to begin to keep record of God's goodness to us? I think so. Get a diary or a notepad; you can call it your book of remembrance: when God heals you write it down, when He delivers you from accidents, write it down; when He doesn't allow your creditors shame you, write it down; when someone blesses you with money or gifts, also write it down. Don't take things for granted. Psalm 77:11 says "I will remember the deeds of the LORD; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago." If you keep such notes, when the time comes for thanksgiving, you'll be able to give God a quality sacrifice of praise for all He did for you. And may I quickly add that every time is appropriate for thanksgiving. God bless you.
