SHELTER FROM THE STORMS

Isaiah 4:6 says, “And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.” Hallelujah! Isn't God good? It’s so good to know that in Him, we can be protected from the heat, the storms and the rains of life. Really, Christianity is an invitation to rest! In Christ, we are not only insured, we are protected. That’s what it really means to be set apart from the world! We have been set apart from the troubles and pains of the world. When there are crises in the world; be it financial, physical or otherwise, we shouldn't be terrified by them; when there is a flu or epidemic, we can be comforted by the fact that we are safe in Christ. Psalm 27:5 NLT says, “For he will conceal me there when troubles come; he will hide me in his sanctuary. He will place me out of reach on a high rock.” Amen! After reading the above, someone might be thinking within himself, “Why then do bad things happen to Christians?” Here’s my quick response: understand that things will not happen to you because it is written in the Bible; they will happen because you believe them.” Jesus always said, “Be it unto you according to your faith.” You've got to be persuaded about what God says, and your faith must stand on the knowledge of Who God is; His power, His grace, His wisdom and on His love for you. In life there will always be storms, but I pray for you reading this today in the name of Jesus, that henceforth, you will be shielded from every storm of life, may God deliver you from death, from the tsunamis and hurricanes of life where you live and work; when all men around you say that there is a casting down, may your mouth be filled with songs of deliverance. When the enemy comes like a flood to attack you and all that are yours, may the Spirit of the Lord raise a standard against him. And if you have just experienced any storm, may God restore all that was lost, and may it shine on you again. Amen.
