UNDERSTANDING HIS WILL
Ephesians 5:17 NKJV "Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is."
King Solomon taught us the importance of understanding; he said to get
wisdom, and to purchase understanding with all our possessions; to get
understanding with all our effort.
There's a difference between knowing the will of God and understanding
it. In this case, I'm talking about God's will for your life. For
instance, a man may know that God wants him to do a particular thing but
he has no understanding of the why, the effect, it's relevance to what
God is doing globally, the timing, the how, and so on. Knowledge is
really incomplete without understanding. A man can only explain and hold
strongly on to what he understands.
As we prepare ourselves
for the New Year and seek the will of God for our lives, our families
and our nation, let's take time to also seek an understanding of His
will. Let's approach the coming year differently; understanding His
will.
