CHRISTMAS GIFTS FOR YOU
John 5:6-7 NKJV "When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he
already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you
want to be made well?” The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man
to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am
coming, another steps down before me.”
The first thing we are told is that Jesus knew that the man had been in
that condition for a long time. Understand that there's nothing that
you're going through that God is unaware of, He knows your condition and
He also knows how you feel.
Then Jesus asked him if he wanted
to be well. It's like meeting a sick man in the hospital and asking him
if why he's there, especially after you've known his condition. Why did
Jesus ask such a question? I think that Jesus asked in order to activate
his faith. Sometimes we've got to express our desires for the things we
want. You must learn to give voice to your desires; and that's why
prayer is vital. God knows exactly what you need but you're required to
ask in faith that you may receive.
The man's answer showed how
frustrated he was. Many times our human efforts fail us. We try on our
own to get things for ourselves, but we don't succeed because of several
reasons. Brothers and sisters, it is not by power or might! The race is
not to the swift, neither is the battle to the strong. God can give you
whatever you need faster than you can get it on your own. Even now, it
is not late to receive the desires of your heart. I'm asking God to give
Christmas gifts to you this week. So shall it be, in Jesus name.
