THE TRUE LIGHT IS SHINING
I John 2:8-10 NKJV "Again, a new commandment I write to you, which
thing is true in Him and in you, because the darkness is passing away,
and the true light is already shining. He who says he is in the light,
and hates his brother, is in darkness until now. He who loves his
brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him."
Generally speaking, the darkness is passing away and the true light is
already shining. Hallelujah. But even though the light is shining the
Scripture warns that it is possible to still be in darkness. Brothers
and sisters, your choice determines your experience.
Love or
hate determines where you really are. Thank God for confessions, but
note that the Scripture says that a man can be saying that he is in the
light while he is actually in darkness. Actions, really do speak louder
than words. When actions do not match words what's going on is hypocrisy
and self deception.
This season the true light is still
shining as brightly as it has always shone! As true children of God, we
must put aside grievances, grudges, hate, unforgiveness, envy, malice
and anything else in our lives that do not glorify the Lord. God is
light and in Him is no darkness at all. Let us not permit any form of
darkness in our lives, let us choose rather to dwell in the true light
that is already shining. You will not stumble in Jesus name.
