WHEN PRAYERS ARE NOT ANSWERED
II Corinthians 12:8 NKJV "Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me."
Are there prayers you've prayed that were not answered? I think so. But God is faithful and He answers prayers. Hallelujah!
But notice that Paul prayed about a certain thing three times, and
three times he received no answers from God. In fact, Paul didn't just
ask, he pleaded with God, yet God ignored his pleas. Now, it's easy to
attribute unanswered prayers to doubt, not asking according to the will
of God, and even sin, but in this case, it was God choosing not to
answer Paul's prayer the way Paul wanted Him to, in order to achieve a
greater purpose in Paul's life.
God is our Father and He knows
what's best for you and I. If God isn't answering, or hasn't answered
your prayers when, and how you expect Him to, don't be angry and sad,
instead trust Him to do what's best for you. Keep praising Him.
