REPROVE, RATHER THAN APPROVE THEM

Ephesians 5:11 AMP "Take no part in and have no fellowship with the fruitless deeds and enterprises of darkness, but instead [let your lives be so in contrast as to] expose and reprove and convict them."

It's not uncommon to see believers engaging in same ungodly and unedifying activities as, and with unbelievers. God has His expectations of us. While He loves all men, He doesn't approve of all that man does, and He will one day judge all our deeds and decisions. As children of God, we are expected to reprove the works of darkness rather than approve them.

To approve something wrong makes you equally guilty (Romans 1:32). And you must understand that there are times when even silence means consent. That's why Eli was judged, he didn't stop his sons from sinning against God. Apostle John warned that receiving certain people into our homes and associating with them could make us partakers of their deeds. II John 1:10-11 NKJV "If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him; for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds."

Reproval doesn't necessarily mean confrontation; as the Scripture we began with says, we would be reproving them by living lives that are in contrast with theirs. Let us therefore truly live lives worthy of our calling; let our lights so shine that men may see it and be drawn to Christ.
