MANIFESTING THE LOVE OF GOD

The love of God is in us, but sadly, not many of us manifest it. We talk about it, sing about it but rarely manifest it, yet it should be a lifestyle. 1 John 3:18 says, “My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue, but in deed and in truth.” Like we say, action is louder than words. One way to manifest the love of God is by giving to the needy. It’s funny, but many of us give to those who have more than enough or that can afford what we give to them, and ignore those who are in need. The needy should be our first priority. 1 John 3:17 says, “But whoso hath this wolrd’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?” Don’t always wait to be asked before you act; be motivated by what you see! Deuteronomy 15:7&8 says, “If there be among you a poor man of one of thy brethren within any of thy gates in thy land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thine heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poor brother: but thou shalt open thine hand wide unto him, and shalt surely lend him sufficient for his need in that which he wanteth.” If we really can do all things through Christ, then we can reach out to the needy around us. God’s grace, His blessings and promotions are to enable us abound to every good work (2 Corinthians 9:8). By so doing, we’ll be manifesting the love of God. Cheers.
