WHAT DOES BEING BORN AGAIN MEAN TO YOU?
John 3:3 NKJV Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to
you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
There are people who do not like to say that they are born again. They are probably not. Well, they think that it is one jargon formulated by a group of people. That's not true. Jesus was the first to use the term when He spoke to Nicodemus; Peter also used it; 1 Peter 1:23 says, "Having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever." Hallelujah!
So what does being born again mean to you? Something or nothing? It means so many things to different people: no more sinning, going to heaven, delivered from the kingdom and power of darkness, the hope of glory, etc. Fantastic! It also means that we were born by the Spirit, God Himself, that we have His life in us and that we are joint heirs together with Christ! Hallelujah!
2 Corinthians 5:17 says, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." Romans 5:1 says, "Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ" Ephesians 2:1 says, "And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins" Wow! I feel like screaming and running around! I don't know about you, but being born again is the greatest thing that has ever happened to me and I'm forever grateful that I am saved! Hallelujah!
