NOT BY CHANCE

God does not do things by chance or accidentally. He knows the end from the beginning, and as a matter of fact, the Scriptures tell us that all His works were finished before the foundations of the world were laid. God said to Jeremiah, “Before I formed thee in the belly, I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5. Same with us, Ephesians 1:4-6 says, “According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, to the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.” We are the ones who are surprised by events and concerned about the future, God is not. If only we can fully trust in Him, we would be at rest all the days of our lives. There are jobs He has predestined us to do, there are people He has predestined us to meet, and there are experiences that He predestined us to have! As long as we co-operate with Him, we can always relax even in the midst of trying times and situations, knowing that all things work together for our good. If parents can plan for their babies to attend certain schools in future, and also prepare in advance for that future, how much more God, our Heavenly Father. He cares so much about us!
