1 Corinthians 5:11 ERV "I meant you must not associate with people who claim to be believers but continue to live in sin. Don’t even eat with a brother or sister who sins sexually, is greedy, worships idols, abuses others with insults, gets drunk, or cheats people."
STOP LIVING IN SIN
Living in sin is a habit. It's normal for a sinner to live in sin, but very odd for a man or woman who claims he has been born again to continue living in sin. He may sin, but sin should not be something he does continually because he has a new nature that is righteous and holy.
In the Corinthian church, there were brothers and sisters who were living in sin. And it is so, unfortunately, in our churches today. We sin from Monday to Saturday, even after church on Sunday these days, and then we go to church for temporal cleansing. What a dangerous way to live.
You must stop living in sin! You are not a slave of sin because you are under grace. In other words, there's sufficient grace for you to overcome sin! What you are to do is to decide to stop sinning. Hebrews 4:16 says, "With Jesus as our high priest, we can feel free to come before God’s throne where there is grace. There we receive mercy and kindness to help us when we need it." Receive mercy for your past sins today, and grace to help you not to live in sin again.
