ANAMIMNÉSKÓ (TO REMIND)

2 Peter 1:12-13 ERV "You already know these things. You are very strong in the truth you have. But I am always going to help you remember them. While I am still living here on earth, I think it is right for me to remind you of them."

The essence of preaching and teaching is not to communicate new knowledge all the time: many times we need to be reminded of the things we already knew.

What we need is not a new word but a now word. I heard Joyce Meyer say that about 10 years ago, and it's true. In fact, the Holy Spirit only gives messages that are relevant for the now. Even new words are for the now. God's word is always relevant, always fresh. Hallelujah.

In the midst of trouble, may you be reminded of a word of deliverance. When you feel pain, may you be reminded of a comforting word. And when you feel like about to err, may you be reminded of a word of caution.
