We used to sing, "Are you in the number, saved by grace?" Revelations 7:9 says, "After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands."
John could not number the crowd, but God knows how many will be there on that day. But what matters most is if you and I will be among that great crowd.
So which people did John see? They were those who had "washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb." Ephesians 5:27 says Jesus is coming for "a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing".
People of God, we must remain focused and fully conscious of what matters most while we are here - to remain holy, for without holiness, no eye shall see God (Hebrews 12:14). Here's one thing that we must always do: to keep ourselves from being polluted by the world (James 1:27b).
